About Participating in Classes, Workshops and Masterclasses

I started dancing less than two years ago. Can I take Anasma’s workshops?

  • Some workshops are open-level. Anasma can adapt to the level of the students in the room. Usually her style is challenging for all levels because she wishes to keep pushing dancers forward and encouraging their growth while having fun. She believes that dancers of all levels can benefit from her classes since they often contain lots of concepts to be develop by each dancer at her own pace. Feel free to take what you need from the class today. Plant the seed in class, and water it afterwards and let it grow slowly.

What should I wear? Should I bring anything to class?

  • Comfortable, fit, clothing. Wear things you feel comfortable in, and beautiful in.
  • Usually we are barefoot but if you have delicate feet, you may wear dance shoes. You can bring knee pads in case we are doing floor work.
  • Please avoid noisy coin belts.
  • You may want to bring an extra set of clothes if you get sweaty.
  • Bring a big bottle of water and a snack for the break.
  • Bring your best intentions and your desire to learn!

Are Anasma’s performances featured on her DVDs on Youtube?

Anasma tries to show on Youtube what is not featured on a DVD. Some characters or themes may be similar but the same choreography may look very different in various settings. If pieces featured on a DVD are online, it is because the presentation, venue, story-line of the piece online is different from the DVD version. The DVD version offers a better quality image.
