Group classes are the space to learn on a more regular basis (usually, the group classes are based on a weekly or a twice-a-month model) and at a slower pace. Anasma usually offers group classes for a limited number of weeks called “sessions” that have a specific Topic. Groups classes usually follow the structure evoked here (link to Structure of the class) in order to make your technique grow on a long term basis. With regularity, dancers get to deepen the work introduced in workshops; their body gets accustomed to the format and to new vocabulary within a given style. Depending on the topic of the session, we either focus on technique + combinations or create a short choreography.
Group classes are usually offered by levels: Beginner (people new to dance), Advanced Beginner (people familial with bellydance or other dance forms, who have a certain body awareness), Intermediate, and Advanced.
